The actuator bolts onto the control valve and feeds power to the selectable joystick controls on your loader. When it fails, the symptoms are easy to recognize and hard to live with: joystick functions drop out, an axis stops responding, or the machine throws a control fault and won’t behave. A new one from the dealer runs close to a thousand dollars. We repair the one you already have for $350.
We’ve been on Bobcat electronics for over 18 years. Actuators come across our bench most weeks, so we know where these units fail and what it takes to bring them back. Send us yours and we’ll diagnose it, repair it, bench-test the result under load, and ship it back ready to bolt on.
Part numbers we repair
This service covers the loader actuator and its supersessions:
7101672, 7103129, 7104842, 6678776, 6674838
Bobcat reissued some of these over the years (6678775 and 7103129 were rolled into 7101672, for example), so if your number isn’t listed but the unit looks the same, send it anyway or ask us first. These actuators show up across a wide run of skid-steer and compact track loaders, from the 753 and 763 up through the S-series and T-series machines.
Not sure whether the actuator is even your problem? A lot of “actuator” faults turn out to be a service code pointing somewhere else. Check your code against our Bobcat service code list before you pull anything off the machine. It can save you a shipping trip.

Want to skip the repair wait? If you’d rather swap than fix, you can put your old unit toward a working one through our core credit program, or check what we have on the parts in stock page.
A note on the part itself
If you’d rather buy new, the genuine unit is Bobcat actuator 7101672 direct from the manufacturer. Worth knowing before you decide: the dealer part needs calibration by a certified Bobcat dealer after install, and it costs roughly three times what a repair does. For most people the repair is the easier call, but you should have the full picture.
Questions before you ship?
We answer the common ones on our FAQ page, covering turnaround, shipping, and what happens if a unit can’t be saved. If yours isn’t there, contact us or call and we’ll talk it through before you spend a dime on shipping.
