Request Repair
After you submit your request, we’ll take a look to make sure everything is in order. Once reviewed, we’ll email you with your Order Number and shipping instructions.
If the left-side panel in your Bobcat has gone dark, non-responsive buttons, or thrown an error 76-73, you’re not stuck buying a new one. We rebuild it. Send us the panel — part number 6689754, 6688405, 6678680, or 6672346 — and we’ll have it back to you usually the same day it lands on the bench. Flat $485. One year warranty on the work.
Which panels this covers
Bobcat revised this panel a few times, so you’ll see four different numbers stamped on the back depending on the build year. 6689754 is the current one. 6688405, 6678680, and 6672346 are the earlier versions Bobcat replaced. The board layout barely changed between revisions, and we repair all four the same way.
The panel is the operator’s left-side dashboard — the one with the temp gauge, fuel gauge, and the row of indicator lights for auxiliary hydraulics and the buzzer. It uses a 10-pin connector. If you’re running a 751, 753, 763, 773, 863, 864, 873, 883, or 963, you’ve got one of these. Same for the S130, S150, S160, S175, S185, S205, S220, S250, S300, S330, and the T140 through T320 track loaders.
What usually fails
- Blank display, or you can see partial digits flickering.
- Buttons that won’t respond, or only respond if you mash them hard. The membrane domes wear out, and the pads on the board oxidize underneath.
- Error 76-73. This one almost always traces back to the board, not the wiring. Operators chase it through the harness for days before sending the panel in.
- INPUT errors. Stuck or shorted line in the switch matrix.
- Fuel or temp gauges reading nonsense.
If your symptom is not listed above, you can still send the panel in for testing. Our technicians will diagnose the unit and let you know whether the panel is the source of the problem.
How it works
You fill out the form on this page. We email you back with an Order Number and where to ship the panel. Standard ground is fine or you can use overnight shipping.
When your unit arrives, we open it, diagnose the failure, and contact you with the repair details. No repair work is performed without your approval.
Most standard repairs are completed and shipped the same day. More complex cases may require 1–2 additional business days. Once your unit ships, you will receive a tracking number automatically.
Why rebuild instead of buy new
A new 6689754 from a Bobcat dealer runs around $1,000 depending on where you are.
Rebuilding your original panel keeps the electronics matched to your machine. It costs less than a dealer part, the warranty’s longer than most aftermarket panels offer, and you don’t have to relearn a slightly different button layout.
